New IPS Employees

Congratulations again to the 8 new employees who yesterday participated in another phase of our overall IPS new employee orientation. Some joined our staff before the re-design of our process, but all benefited from this part of the process. Yesterday's overview included the organizational structure, highlights of each agency's services, an overview of our strategic plan and measurement processes, and an update on IPS operational issues.

Thanks to IPS Leadership Team for leading the presentations and representing all of us so well. I know the new employees learned a great deal.

If you have not met our new employees, please take an opportunity to introduce yourself when you have the opportunity.

Jeff Broughton - MTAS
Chuck Gluck - CIS
Jennifer Hagan-Dier - CIS
Brent Lackey - LEIC
Gary Peevely - Naifeh Center

WELCOME TO THIS GREAT GROUP OF NEW EMPLOYEES!

IPS Leadership Team

The IPS Leadership Team meets quarterly to discuss the progress of our strategic plan and other policy and procedure issues affecting the Institute. We generally meet from 8:30 - 1:30, but the time is finalized when the agenda is published. We rotate our meetings between cities and agencies.

The IPS Leadership Team consists of all IPS Senior Leaders (Mary Jinks, Chuck Shoopman, Steve Thompson, Mike Garland, Don Green, Paul Jennings, Gary Peevely, and Jim Thomas) and IPS Central Office Staff (Rhonda Campbell, Scott Gordy, Judie Martin, Susan Robertson, and Gail White). We occasionally have guests at our meetings, especially members of the IPS Leadership Academy. Guests are welcome as long as we know in advance they are attending. We never want to run short of lunches!

Notes from all our meetings are available to all staff and are posted on the Intranet with a link to their home on our SharePoint site. If you have any questions about something in the notes, feel free to contact any member of the IPS Leadership Team.

Here's the link to all the notes, http://intranet.ips.tennessee.edu/leadership_team.asp.

The upcoming meeting schedule is:
September 12 - CIS, Nashville
December 5 - LEIC, Oak Ridge
